INSTRUCTORS

Emily Kulchar
Founder & Instructor

Emily is military spouse originally from Hillsborough, New Jersey. She began her yoga practice 15 years ago in Honolulu, Hawaii as a way to include stretching into her marathon training program.  She began teaching 10 years ago as a way of sharing her love of yoga with others.

Emily’s training focused on Iyengar and Ashtanga styles, resulting in a strong alignment background, and 2014 she began teaching Power Yoga.  As a military spouse, she has taught in Williamsburg, Virginia, Alexandria, Virginia, San Angelo, Texas, and Sumter, South Carolina.

Emily teaches a lighthearted class where you are free to be yourself.  She believes in the healing power of yoga and class energy, especially after she experienced it herself after the loss of her son in 2017.

Emily is an RYT-200 through Yoga Alliance.

Priscilla Garcia

Since 2017, Priscilla has been implementing yoga into her life. She discovered the depth of yoga’s healing power through her dedicated practice.

She incorporates Kundalini with Vinyasa flow and calls it Kuniyasa. Kuniyasa is interwoven with meditation, mudras, mantra and asanas coming together to connect the breath, body, and soul. At times, she uses her Tibetan singing bowls as she believes sound is a vibrational energy which can penetrate our innermost being and consciousness for restoration, connection, and stillness.

As a wife, mother of 9, and Mimi to her 2 grandchildren, she assists and guides her loved ones with this practice of serenity and presence. Yoga for her is to be lived in every moment.

Jessica Kindrick

RYT-200

Jessica approaches yoga as a lifestyle of awareness of self. This means that she emphasizes trauma-informed practices that incorporate contemporary mental health awareness as well as traditional yogic philosophy. She believes healing is possible once wounds are acknowledged and loved back into wholeness and that yoga lends itself to this process. Empathy for self and others is the basis for her yogic practice, and fostering a feeling of safety, security, and connection in the mind/body via the breath is her preferred teaching approach. She teaches hatha and yin yoga ,both of which focus on linking the breath to the poses and can foster deep physical/emotional release.

Megan Clayton-Autrey

Megan is a yogi, a reiki practitioner, a light-worker, a partner, a friend, a dog mom, a music lover, and a student of life. She began her yoga journey in early 2019. At that time in her life, she was recovering from a trauma, and looking for a tool to help her feel safe and connected to her body. She quickly realized that she had found what she was searching for, and then some. Megan credits yoga for more healing, self-discovery, growth, and lightness than she’s experienced with anything else before. Yoga provided her with the safe space she needed to come back home to herself. As an empath, Megan has an innate ability to connect to others, and make them feel seen and valued. This, and her sweet spirit, will shine through in her teaching style. Her classes will leave you feeling light and loved, as she encourages you to move through your body with kindness and flow with ease.

Tiana Hennings

Guest Teacher & Substitute

I have a deep-seated passion for transformation, as yoga has created such a profound change in my own life. I became a yoga instructor with the intention that I wanted to do something that would impact and help the lives of others and that is what I strive for in each class. A Hatha form based class that uses strength to find a deeper stretch--through the embodiment of this method, one will see oneself transform both inside and out.

I help to take students to that place within themselves where they find strength, beauty, and peace. This is something I strive for in all that I do, whether it's engaging with my children or Kayaking at sunrise. All moments in life are an opportunity to connect, find, and strive for whatever it is that one is searching for in life.

I am a RYT200 Yoga Teacher, I was certified through Namah Sivaya International School of Yoga. I have also studied under Christina Sell of The San Marcos School of Yoga, whose attention to detail and layers of asana description cannot be beaten. I have also studied with Manorama, a self-proclaimed Guru of Jivamukti Yoga School in NY. My experience with this amazing woman has broadened not only my insight of yoga but also my outlook on life. With these experiences I hope to bring the same positive nurturing to each of my students. Yoga is more of a service than a job, and with that I live to serve in the lives of each person that I meet and to bring to them the opportunity of transformation that I was given.

Mind. Body. Spirit.
